I'll always have a good chuckle remembering Joe Rogan's "family" bit from Belly of the Beast and how much we used to laugh about it, never thinking we'd be the punchline. But the cliches are all true. It doesn't make it any less annoying when some self-righteous parent recycles the same tired phrase for the millionth time...but you know, it's true. You can't understand until you are one. A parent...a father. And it already hurts to think about him leaving someday.
